Ride-hailing platform Ola on Wednesday (October 29) appealed in the Karnataka High Court to quash the FIR of abetment of suicide of K Aravind, the Ola Electric engineer.

The matter has been adjourned till November 17.

Ola, represented by Advocate Shyamsundar in the court, said a case of unnatural death has been registered, so it is not homicidal. The investigation is under the Unnatural Death Report (UDR) case.

He added that the company has remitted all the dues to the deceased.

The court directed police to continue the investigation because the death note was found. The UDR case was filed by the police at the start of the investigation. With the note found and FIR, the case has to be investigated further.
