It wasn’t anywhere near the toughest test the Colorado women’s basketball team will face this season.

In fact, it wasn’t even an official test. It was, however, the first exam in front of fans, and the Buffaloes passed it with ease.

The new-look Buffs rolled past Colorado School of Mines 87-24 on Wednesday night at the CU Events Center in an exhibition game.

“Obviously a great team victory,” CU head coach JR Payne said. “I’m really proud of how we played and just so awesome to see every single player that was suited up tonight be able to play, contribute in really meaningful ways. A lot of it showed up in the stat sheet. We also did some things that did not necessarily show up in the stat sheet, but are tremendous growth areas for us.”
