Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of former Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad Yadav, faced protests in the Mahnar assembly constituency of Vaishali on Wednesday. RJD supporters chanted slogans like "Long live Tejashwi Yadav" and "Long live the lantern print" and even threw stones.

Tej Pratap Yadav had gone to Mahnar to address an election rally in support of Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) candidate Jai Singh Rathore. As his convoy headed for Mahua, RJD supporters surrounded it. The mob chased him for some distance and pelted stones.
