Major banks, including Lloyds, NatWest, Halifax, Santander, and Barclays, have announced branch closures that will take effect next month. It will see a changing face for many of Britain's high streets, due in part to more consumers opting for online access instead.

In total, 24 banks are due to shutter in November, with Lloyds leading the way. Sixteen of the closures this month affect Lloyds branches, including in major locations such as Bristol, Manchester, and Sheffield.

Banks will disappear from towns and cities across every region of England, as well as in Scotland and Wales. The first closure is scheduled for Monday (November 3), when the Bank of Scotland branch in Thornhill, Dumfries, and Galloway will close its doors to customers for the last time.
