A group of men who assaulted and intimidated Stuart MacGill after believing the cricketer was responsible for a drug rip have avoided jail.
Frederick Schaaf, Richard Schaaf and Vaeluagaomatagi Feilo pleaded guilty to assaulting and intimidating MacGill at Bringelly in 2021.
The incident unfolded after MacGill was held responsible for a drug rip, a court was told.
The trio were initially facing additional charges related to the alleged kidnapping of MacGill, but prosecutors abandoned the charges in an 11th hour plea deal.
The three men pleaded guilty to lesser charges of assault and intimidation, and all avoided jail after they were each sentenced to an Intensive Correction Order (ICO) on Thursday morning at the John Maddison Tower in Sydney’s CBD.
