A minor student died after accidentally swallowing a notice board pin at his school in the Dhobatota area of Phulbani. The deceased was identified as Tushar Mishra, a Class 7 student of Daringbadi in Kandhamal district.

The incident, which occurred on October 15, has triggered allegations of gross negligence from the minor’s family against the school authorities for failing to act promptly, even after the boy informed his teachers.

According to reports, Tushar, who was staying at his maternal uncle’s home in Phulbani and studying at Adarsha Vidyalaya in Dhovatota, accidentally swallowed a pin used on the school notice board around 11 am during school hours.
