Srinagar, Oct 30: J&K Legislative Assembly passed four key bills aimed at strengthening governance, protecting tenant and landlord rights, improving labour conditions, and reforming cooperative structures. CM Omar Abdullah introduced and secured passage of the Jammu and Kashmir Rent Regulation Bill, 2025, to regulate tenancy and ensure timely dispute resolution. Rural Development Minister Javid Ahmad Dar moved two amendment bills to strengthen Panchayati Raj institutions and streamline cooperative societies. DyCM Surinder Choudhary also piloted the Shops and Establishments Bill, 2025, aimed at safeguarding workers’ rights.
