Airbnb has announced it will once again implement its “anti-party” system for Halloween weekend, affecting those planning to rent properties for parties.

The company stated that this policy has been in place for the past five years. Last year, the policy reportedly stopped more than 40,000 people in the U.S. and Canada from booking entire home listings for Halloween.

Airbnb’s technology evaluates the potential party risk by examining factors such as the length of a reservation, the distance from the guest’s location and the timing of a booking.

High-risk bookings will be blocked, with different accommodations suggested. Options may include a private room where a host is more likely to be present.
