LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Make sure to grab the jacket or coat as you head out the door this morning and really over the course of the next few as cooler weather sticks around.

Winds will remain out of the north and west, which will continue to keep lows back into the upper 40s through Saturday morning.

Our afternoons will be stunning as well with plenty of sunshine as highs are into the upper 60s for our Wednesday with a return to the lower 70s for Thursday.

Subtle changes will begin to arrive in the forecast as we head late Thursday into Friday as our winds become a bit more easterly.

This will help to bring back a little more humidity through the weekend and eventually help to set up a couple of rain chances late Saturday into Sunday.
