A shocking case of drunk driving was reported from Gujarat after a man was carried on the hood of a moving car for nearly 750 metres on the Modise–Lunawada highway on Tuesday night, with his motorcycle wedged in the vehicle’s front fender.
According to a Times of India report, the incident took place when Sunil Machhar and his father-in-law, Dinesh Charel, were returning home to Lakhanpur village in Dahod’s Fatepura taluka after finishing work at Nikoda village near Himmatnagar.
Machhar was riding the motorcycle when a car hit them from behind near Babaliya village. While Machhar was thrown off to the side of the road, Charel landed on the car’s hood — and the driver, allegedly drunk, continued driving without stopping.
