Six people have been arrested over a series of alleged shoplifting incidents in the southside of Glasgow.

In a two-day operation, officers in Battlefield arrested the people in connection with a series of alleged incidents affecting local businesses.

The arrests were part of Police Scotland's ongoing efforts to take on retail crime, support local shop owners, and increase safety in communities.

Police say they will continue to carry out targeted patrols and will work alongside retailers to prevent more offences.
