Captain Amarinder to campaign in Tarn Taran bypoll

Tarn Taran (Punjab), October 20, 2025: Former Punjab Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Captain Amarinder Singh announced that he will soon campaign in the Tarn Taran bypoll.

Speaking to the media, Captain Amarinder said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is steadily gaining strength across Punjab and will emerge even stronger by the 2027 Assembly elections.

When asked about a possible alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), he said that the decision regarding any coalition would be taken by the party high command.
