Some families are waiting years for out of school care for their primary aged children in Glasgow and there is huge demand for council nursery places for under threes, a councillor warns.
Councillor Holly Bruce is calling for a number of measures to boost childcare availability in the city for primary kids and in nurseries.
Bringing a motion to council on Thursday (October 30) she outlines the issues faced by parents finding and trying to afford childcare.
Her motion said: "The vast majority of children continue to need childcare once they are primary school aged, and often beyond if they have additional support needs.
