HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) - A renewable natural gas facility in Owensboro is now in operation.

It's the first of its kind in the Tri-State.

Located at the Daviess County Landfill, the plant will collect landfill gas and turn it into renewable natural gas.

Daviess County and plant officials will dedicate the new plant during a ceremony Thursday morning at 11 a.m.
