Happy Thursday! A new wet-weathermaker is arriving this morning with some increasing clouds ahead of the main batch of rain. Eventually, it will turn very wet in New York's North Country today before the rain increases in coverage overnight. Until then, temperatures are in the 30s this morning with mostly cloudy skies and fleeting breaks of sunshine. Northeast-east winds are sustained around 5 to 10 mph.

Those scattered morning showers for northern New York will likely evolve into a steadier, heavier rain this afternoon. In particular, it's the St. Lawrence River Valley that turns soggiest with some embedded heavier downpours. Accompanying the wet weather will be blustery east winds that could gust up to 40 mph, especially across the spine of the southern and central Greens.
