Since the beginning of the year, several accidents have occurred in Yosemite National Park. Unfortunately, a popular climber from Alaska lost his life while climbing El Capitan, a few days following the U.S. government shutdown . This has brought the number of fatalities recorded in the park to at least three in 2025.
In addition, Yosemite National Park recently released a new post on its official Facebook page sharing details about another accident. A man injured himself while climbing El Capitan.
