Athletic prowess and creative songwriting will collide when a Charleston band shares the spotlight with local soccer team the Charleston Battery .
The Six Foot Tide lead singer Eric Richard will take to the field to perform the national anthem ahead of the USL Championship match on Sunday, Nov. 2.
The matchup will see the Charleston Battery compete in the Eastern Conference's Quarterfinals at their home field located at Patriots Point and will be broadcasted live on CBS' sports network.
For such a young group, the opportunity to be recognized alongside one of the oldest continuously operating soccer clubs in the United States is a major achievement and the band recognizes it as the start of a great collaboration.
