India’s ODI vice-captain Shreyas Iyer has provided a reassuring update on his recovery following a serious rib and spleen injury sustained during the third ODI against Australia. The 30-year-old batter, who was admitted to the ICU due to internal bleeding from a spleen laceration, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from fans.
“I’m currently recovering and feeling better with each passing day. I’m truly thankful for all the kind wishes and encouragement — it means the world to me. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts,” Iyer shared on X (formerly Twitter).
