(NewsNation) — The E.A. Sween Company has announced that it is recalling a brand of its pulled pork sandwiches over concerns that there may be plastic pieces in them.
According to the Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service, the recall affects about 127,887 pounds of the 5.5-ounce paper-wrapped "Deli EXPRESS BBQ PULLED PORK on a sesame bun sandwiches."
The FDA said the affected sandwiches could have been shipped to various stores across the continental U.S., Hawaii and Guam between Jan. 16 and Oct. 23, 2025. FSIS said the Department of Defense was another location to which the sandwiches were shipped.
Plastics can be a choking hazard if swallowed. The FDA said there have been no injuries reported from the recalled sandwiches. The affected lot codes are below:
