LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Our big fall storm system slowly moves out later today, but not before leaving behind a soaking across much of the region. Let’s take a look ahead toward Halloween, the start of November, and what could be a quick jump into winter.

We’ve already picked up between 1″ and 4″ of rain across Kentucky this week, with more falling early today in the central and eastern parts of the state. Some locations even saw record rainfall totals, including Lexington, which now holds the record for its wettest October ever.

Skies will gradually turn partly sunny across western Kentucky today as clouds and lingering showers pull away from the east by evening. With temperatures in the 40s and a brisk wind, it’s going to feel even colder—another downright unpleasant day for many.
