LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- Getting intimate with an Oscar Wilde classic is what the Barnstormers have planned for the fall play.
“The Importance of Being Earnest” runs Nov. 6-8 in Lakewood High School’s Black Box Theatre.
“It’s a very small cast of nine actors, so with our Blackbox Theater, my vision for ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ is doing the show in the round,” said Lakewood High School English and drama teacher Domenic Farinelli-Martinez, who is also the Barnstormers Drama Club director.
“This is just the second time we’ve done a show that way. It’s pretty rare to see theater immersive like this in a high school setting. It’s more like colleges where you’re gonna see black boxes. So, it’s a really fun experience for the kids to be able to try something new.”
