BJP’s Bihar unit on Thursday filed a complaint with States Chief Electoral Officer against Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi for “Making Derogatory, Personal, and Insulting Remarks against the Prime Minister during a Public Election Rally in Violation of the Model Code of Conduct and the Representation of the People Act, 1951."

The state BJP unit requested the Commission to issue a show-cause notice to Rahul Gandhi and order him to issue an unconditional public apology. They also appealed to the Commission to bar Rahul from campaigning for a certain period of time to preserve the sanctity of democratic and electoral decorum.
