Nationwide, NatWest and Lloyds Bank customers could be in for some extra cash ahead of the Christmas season. A number of big name banks are currently offering bonus cash to switchers, with some worth £200 or more.

For example, Barclays is currently offering between £200 to £900 to those who switch to them. Switching to Lloyds Bank could net you £200, while TSB is offering £180. Both Nationwide Building Society and NatWest are offering £175 to new customers.

Aaron Peake, a personal finance expert at free credit score service CredAbility, said there could potentially be more such deals being launched in the run-up to Christmas. He said: "When it comes to whether we'll see more bank switch offers before Christmas, I'd say it's possible but not guaranteed.
