Former Illinois sheriff’s deputy Sean Grayson was convicted Wednesday of second-degree murder in the 2024 shooting death of Sonya Massey, the woman who called 911 to report a suspected intruder in her home. Massey’s family spoke out after the conviction, outraged that Grayson avoided a first-degree murder conviction. NBC’s Maggie Vespa reports for TODAY.
