One of New York City's top chefs and restaurateurs, Danny Meyer and his Union Square Hospitality Group, announced on Thursday that they will be joining Hudson's Detroit in 2026.
This will be the restaurant group's first foray into the Detroit market. Details about the project's concept, its name or where it may have a home inside the brand new, 12-story skyscraper at 1240 Woodward were not announced.
Meyer founded Union Square Hospitality Group in 1985 and opened restaurants that have earned more than two dozen James Beard Awards and Michelin stars. These include Manhattan's Gramercy Tavern, the two Michelin-starred destination the Modern, Ci Siamo and others. He also founded Eleven Madison Park, which he sold in 2011.
"Detroit is brimming with culture, creativity and pride,” said Meyer
