Sarasota trick-or-treaters might want to swap out light costumes for something warmer this Halloween.
A rare cold front is sweeping into Southwest Florida just in time for Friday night’s festivities, bringing the kind of crisp, fall-like air Floridians usually only dream about.
National Weather Service forecaster Nicole Carlisle said this Halloween will be cooler than what Sarasota typically experiences in late October. A cold front moving through the region on Wednesday will bring drier, crisper air just in time for trick-or-treating. Inland areas may feel a bit cooler than the coast.
