PAGELAND, S.C. (WBTV) - A Pageland police officer was arrested for alleged domestic violence and fired from the department, according to department officials.

Chesterfield County deputies arrested Dixon after being called for a domestic dispute on Wednesday, Oct. 29. According to police, he was charged with domestic violence.

“When I became aware of Mr. Dixon’s conduct, it resulted in the termination of employment,” Pageland Police Chief Short wrote in a statement posted online. “Officers are held to a higher standard as part of their duty to protect and serve. That’s why they are held accountable when they fall short.”

Dixon is a Navy veteran who graduated from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in 2024.

His bond information was not immediately available.
