WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - The Washington County Courthouse was evacuated Thursday morning after someone called in a bomb threat.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says a courthouse staffer took a call from someone with a man’s voice around 9 a.m. The caller stated that there were several explosive devices placed through the courthouse and that he planned to detonate them.
The courthouse was immediately evacuated, and multiple bomb disposal units responded to the scene.
The sheriff’s office said as of noon, the search of the courthouse and grounds has not turned up any explosive devices.
Investigators are working to identify the person who called in the threat.
Courthouse proceedings, including the Horning trial that FOX 12 has been following, are currently on hold while
