TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) - A federal judge sentenced a former leader of the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas on Wednesday after he was accused of committing child sex crimes and domestic abuse.

Toby Crouse, a U.S. District Judge, sentenced Lester Randall to 120 months, or 10 years, in federal prison. He previously pleaded guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of a minor - receipt of child pornography.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office arrested Randall on April 25, 2024, at a home on the Kickapoo Reservation following the execution of a search warrant. Randall had previously served as the tribal chairman for the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas.

A federal grand jury indicted Randall in July 2024 for allegedly attacking his spouse on several occasions in 2023 and 2024. Prosecutors later indicted Randall
