Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Thursday announced a series of rural development initiatives during the CM Connect programme held at Thangsning village under Mawkynrew Block in East Khasi Hills district.
The CM Connect programme — a flagship citizen engagement platform — enables the Chief Minister to directly interact with people at the grassroots, hear their concerns, and ensure that government policies align with local needs.
During the interaction, community members raised issues such as the need for higher secondary schools, a community college, better road and bridge connectivity, expansion of water supply schemes, and the creation of more Anganwadi and veterinary centres.
