KALAMAZOO, MI — The six-story Kalamazoo City Centre building on the Kalamazoo Mall has changed hands.

The building, at 125 S. Kalamazoo Mall, was purchased for $2.21 million by Harvin Singh Sandhu and his family, the 25-year-old Sandhu confirmed.

The former home of Jacobson’s department store now features ground floor retail, office and event space on floors two through four and apartments on floors five and six. The building was previously owned by Kalamahajan, LLC.

Kalamahajan, owned by Sudhir Mahajan, purchased the building in 2014 for $7.425 million, according to city property records.

The most recent sale closed on Tuesday, Oct. 21, according to Sandhu, who owns and operates HSS Property Management , soon to be known as Five Rivers Property Management.
