The authorities at Noida International Airport on Thursday deferred the calibration flight trial and rescheduled it for October 31. The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) was to oversee trial checks of the operational readiness of the airport, but due to bad weather in Noida, it was postponed.
The DGCA will issue a licence to the airport after ensuring all security measures, from take-off to landing of the aircraft at the airport.
According to a report by The Times of India, the DGCA oversees calibration flights to verify the accuracy and credibility of key air navigation and communication systems.
