Three people have been sent to hospital following a three-vehicle collision along Highway 401 in Kingston.
Officers with the Frontenac detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the westbound lanes of the highway, east of Sydenham Road, just after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Frontenac Paramedics and the Kingston Fire Department also responded to crash.
According to a news release, the injuries suffered by those sent to the hospital were described as minor.
A 27-year-old man from Laval, Que., has been charged with careless driving, as well as for having windows obstructed by tint that is too dark.
While the highway remained open, police said there were temporary lane closures in place.
