(FOX40.COM) — The California Nurses Association/National Nurses United announced that around 3,100 registered nurses throughout Tenet Healthcare hospitals in Modesto, Manteca and Turlock are going on a one-day strike starting Thursday.

The nurses aim to protest the corporation’s alleged refusal to address concerns about patient care and safe staffing following contract negotiations since February, which have had no movement, union officials said.

The strikes are taking place from 7 a.m. on Thursday to 6:59 a.m. on Friday at the following locations: • Doctors Medical Center of Modesto on Florida Avenue with a rally at noon • Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock on Delbon Avenue with a rally at 1 p.m. • Doctors Hospital of Manteca on East North Manteca
