Leaders in Pike Road are showing off plans for the town to get input from residents.
The first in a series of open house meetings allowed people to not only ask questions about Pike Road’s future, but to also provide their thoughts on how the town should grow.
Pike Road became a town in 1997 and is one of the fastest-growing municipalities in the state. Its current population is around 11,000 people. Over the years, farmland has given way to neighborhoods and businesses. Pike Road started its own school system in 2015.
