Floyd Roger Myers Jr. , who played a younger version of Will Smith on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” died Wednesday. He was 42.
His mother, Renee Trice, told TMZ that Myers had a heart attack at his home in Maryland, and that the actor had a history of cardiac issues.
Myers was 9 years old when he appeared in the Season 3 episode of “Fresh Prince” titled “Will Gets Committed,” which aired in September 1992. The episode features a flashback to the 1970s, with Myers portraying a child version of Will Smith.
That same year, Myers played a young Marlon Jackson in both episodes of the ABC miniseries “The Jacksons: An American Dream,” which traced the rise of the Jackson 5. Myers’ only other acting credit is playing a student in one episode of the WB drama series “Young Americans.”
