LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Over the past several years, we have seen our fair share of “scary” forecasts for Halloween across Mid-Michigan, but thankfully, this year the forecast looks seasonable for our area.

An area of low pressure to our southeast will begin to pull out of the region this afternoon, allowing cloud cover to decrease across Mid-Michigan with temperatures climbing into the mid-50s.

Winds will increase on Friday, with gusts around 20-25 miles per hour forecasted throughout the day. That breeze out of the northwest will try to kick up the chance for a few isolated lake-effect rain showers across the region.

The best chance for rain looks to be along the lake shore, with around a 10-20% chance of a sprinkle in Mid-Michigan.
