EVANSVILLE — Two women with New York state addresses have been accused by Evansville police of promoting prostitution.

A probable cause affidavit says officers executed a search warrant at Star Spa on North Green River Road and found cause to believe Ying Chen of Brooklyn, New York, and Qinghua Liu of Flushing, New York, committed the offenses.

The police affidavit says officers received tips that Chen had been offering sexual favors at the business. Officers say they believe Liu permitted prostitution to happen at the business.

Liu is accused of promoting prostitution. Chen is accused of promoting prostitution and prostitution. Initial hearings on the cases are set for Tuesday, Nov. 4.
