Nearly half of New Yorkers fear crime and violence will only get worse if Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani becomes mayor, according to a grim new poll Thursday that shows voters fearing a “disaster.”

Roughly 47% of those polled believe crime levels will spike in the Big Apple under Mamdani’s leadership — while 45% also fear antisemitism will surge, the J.L. Partners/Daily Mail survey shows.

In comparison, less than a third — only 32% — think Gotham will be safer if the socialist frontrunner is elected, the poll found.

About 39% expect the risk of terrorism to increase under Mamdani, while only 18% believe it would shrink.

Asked for one word to describe what a Mamdani-run city would look like after four years, the poll showed the most common response was “disaster.”
