Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has once again strongly signaled her consideration of a potential Senate run in Texas, driven by what she called a “fierce urgency of now.”
Crockett, speaking during a live online broadcast of “Clock It with Crockett: The People’s Edition,” stated her interest in challenging Republican Senator Ted Cruz. “I would love to challenge Ted Cruz,” she said.
The Dallas Democrat last week pointed to the Republican-led redistricting of the state’s congressional map as a personal catalyst for seeking higher office. In an interview on SiriusXM’s “The Lurie Daniel Favors Show,” she cited the potential loss of her district: “I am looking. Because if you want to take my seat of 766,000 away, I feel like there has to be some karma in that to where I take your seat
