House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) delivered a scathing condemnation of Democratic lawmakers on Thursday, accusing them of “orchestrat[ing] this chaos” as the government shutdown entered its 30th day.
During a press briefing, Rep. Emmer focused on the critical impacts of the ongoing shutdown on federal workers, essential services, and vulnerable Americans, while placing the blame squarely on the opposition party for what he called “30 days of pure obstruction.”
