Falkirk are trying to seal a deal to bring Ryan Edwards back to the Scottish Premiership . 
John McGlynn is looking to sign the experienced defender on a short-term deal. 
The centre half previously had a three year spell at Dundee United . 
The 32-year-old is a free agent after he left Indian Super League side Chennaiyin earlier this year.
McGlynn has turned to Edwards because he has something of a defensive crisis.
Centre halves Coll Donaldson, Tom Lang and Lewis Neilson are all out, along with left-back Leon McCann. 
McGlynn is looking to get the Englishman in ahead of Saturday’s league clash with Kilmarnock .
