MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A 17-year-old has been arrested on allegations of opening fire last month at a Marion County high school homecoming party .
Zachary Sarrach was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a firearm by a minor, carrying a concealed firearm, public discharge of a firearm and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting happened Sept. 27 at a bonfire party to celebrate Forest High School’s homecoming.
Sarrach attended the party and fired multiple shots at a juvenile victim after a physical altercation started, deputies said.
Nobody was struck by the gunfire, according to officials.
