French luxury fashion house Maison Margiela is no stranger to pre-distressed sneakers. If anything, the label is a pioneer of the look, as it has been designing athletic footwear with glue stains, exposed seams and paint splatters since as far back as the early 2000s. The approach continues in fall 2025 with the launch of the Loved to Death sneaker, a new, pre-loved model offered in both men’s and women’s sizing.
Using a silhouette reminiscent of the iconic 1920s Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star, the Maison Margiela Loved to Death sneakers dial up the distressing with visible seams, raw edges and distressed rubber soles, but that’s only the beginning.
