CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Area Transit System will offer fare-free rides on all services on Election Day in Mecklenburg County to help voters reach polling locations across the region.

CATS announced the initiative for Nov. 4, making bus and rail services available at no cost to riders traveling to vote. The agency is encouraging riders to use the CATS-Pass app to plan routes and track vehicles in real time, though purchasing a ticket will not be required.

Voters can locate their assigned polling places through the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections website . For assistance, riders can contact CATS Customer Service at 704-336-7433.
