A Maine man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and threatened to kill her if she didn't steal from a local Walmart for him.

Auburn police said one of their officers working a security detail at Walmart was approached by a store employee around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday who said that a woman was inside the store claiming that she had been threatened.

The officer contacted the 30-year-old woman, who said she had been forced into a vehicle and brought to the store against her will. The woman said the male suspect, her ex-boyfriend, had threatened her if she did not steal from the store for him.
