IT was a dry run for Halloween at Tamworth Sports Dome on Thursday, October 30, when 110 participants took part in a Spooktacular sports day.

Begun 10 years ago, the annual inclusive sports day was organised by Sunnyfield.

This year's theme was Halloween and participants dressed appropriately, with spooky costumes and painted faces.

The day combined fun and a community spirit to people with disability, Sunnyfield regional manager Lauren Muggleton said.

Participants came from as far afield as Gunnedah, Armidale, Quirindi and Narrabri.

"The day was open to anyone in the disability community over the age of 18, so they could make connections and have the best time," Ms Muggleton said.
