(KRON) -- A former East Bay teacher and cheerleading instructor was found guilty of child molestation and sexual battery charges, according to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office.

Nicholas Moseby, 44, of Concord, was arrested in September 2022 after he was accused of sending an underage girl pornographic images. In the days after his arrest, more victims came forward in the case against Moseby, who worked as a biology teacher at Diablo Vista Middle School in Danville and a cheerleading coach for Nor Cal Elite in San Ramon.

Earlier this month, on Oct. 17, Moseby was convicted by Contra Costa County jurors of lewd acts upon a child and distributing lewd matter to a minor. He was also convicted of three misdemeanor charges, including two counts of child molestation and one co
