LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) — A 17-year-old has been charged in connection with the murder of 81-year-old Thomas Kriegel, who was found dead from a gunshot wound in his Lakebow Court home Friday afternoon, according to Lexington Police.

Investigators said the juvenile suspect was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 29, and charged with murder.

The teen is currently being held at a juvenile detention center in Warren County.

Kriegel was found dead inside his home Friday. The coroner confirmed Kriegel died from a single gunshot wound.

The investigation is ongoing.
