Police are investigating three separate crashes in Northeast Portland on Wednesday night that killed two pedestrians and a bicyclist.

All three crashes happened within two hours of each other and were less than two miles apart. Each happened on roadways designated as “high crash” streets by the City of Portland — a series of transportation corridors where 67% of Portland’s traffic deaths occurred between 2020 and 2024, though the corridors make up just 8% of the city’s streets.

The first fatal crash happened around 6:20 p.m., when a car and cyclist collided near the 11200 block of Northeast Glisan Street, the Portland Police Bureau said in a statement. The bicyclist died in the crash.
